ENISA’s Information Security Risk Management Expert Barbara Daskala is participating in a panel discussion on ‘Building a culture of trust online’ at the Microsoft ‘Growth and Innovation Day’, taking place in Brussels, 5 March. Outline of the session: Personal data and privacy concerns about online risks threaten to erode public confidence in the computing ecosystem. The panel will look into challenges of authentication, identity, privacy enhancing technologies, privacy practices and potential transaction costs when privacy is traded off for service value. ‘Why is it so difficult to help people to protect themselves? How can we achieve more security and more privacy instead of trading one for the other?’ are some questions to be discussed by the panel.
