Security Certification of ICT products in Europe

The objectives of the workshop were to:

• Discuss the business case for security certification as well as technical, economic  and legal issues related to the certification of security properties in ICT products
• Identify areas of investigation and/or possible actions by the European Commission aiming at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes as well as institutional arrangements related to the security certification of ICT products in the EU.

Participants and speakers of the workshop have been national certification authorities, EU officials, hardware and software manufacturers, systems integrators, essential service providers (e.g. transport, energy, health) as well as certification laboratories from EU and US.
