2019 marks an important year for cybersecurity in the EU and for the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, ENISA in particular. The entry into force of the Cybersecurity Act, which provides ENISA with a permanent mandate and a central role within the European Cybersecurity Certification Framework, marks a milestone for the Agency, as does the prospective handover to a new Executive Director. Furthermore, the ongoing legislative negotiations such as those on the proposed EU cybersecurity competence centres and network are expected to proceed in the Council, as well as within the context of a newly elected Commission and Parliament.
The objective of this meeting is to introduce ENISA’s perspective on cybersecurity and engage MEPs in a constructive dialogue and open discussion on securing the future of cyberspace including the following topics:
- ENISA in the EU cyber landscape,
- Proposals for new EU regulatory agenda
- Digital Sovereignty
- European Cybersecurity Competence Network and Centre under Horizon2020
This MEP breakfast therefore will serve as an introduction to ENISA, and marks the beginning of a hopefully fruitful cooperation between the new European Parliament and ENISA.
ENISA's MEP brekfast is an invitation only event.
