Report/Study Privacy, Accountability and Trust – Challenges and Opportunities
In the study, we focus on some of the available technologies and research results addressing privacy and data protection and topics related to, or influencing privacy, such as consent, accountability, trust, tracking and profiling. Report/Study Remote ID Proofing
This report provides an overview of the most common methods for identity proofing with some examples received by stakeholders, presents the current legal / regulatory landscape and supporting standards at the international and EU level and provides the status quo in the European Countries of their remote identity proofing laws, regulations and practices. It provides a practical approach to risk management on the basis of examples. The report also discusses the input received though questionnaires from different stakeholders which use, offer or evaluate identity proofing solutions. Finally, it presents a preliminary gap analysis on existing standards and regulations, stresses the need for a harmonised adoption and cross-recognition of remote identity proofing and provides a number of legal and technical recommendations.

Report/Study Report on Annual Privacy Forum 2012
The first Annual Privacy Forum1 (APF’12) was held in Limassol, Cyprus from 10–11 October 2012. The Forum was co-organised by the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA)2 and the European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT),3 with the support of the Department of Computer Science of the University of Cyprus. APF’12 was endorsed as an official event of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

ENISA launches its 1st report on the state of play in European eIDM. Could ‘digital free movement of people’ in Europe become a reality by the end of 2009? The EU Agency ENISA [the European Network and Information Security Agency] presents its first report on the current state of European eID interoperability. Europe has bold ambitions for interoperable eID services by the end of 2009. This report looks at how various initiatives such as the STORK project and the Services Directive could make eID work for business and government e-services across Europe.
