National implementation
National implementation refers to the process by which a Member State puts into practice its cybersecurity strategy through concrete policies, legislation, institutional arrangements, and action plans, in alignment with the requirements of related legislation such as the NIS2 Directive. This includes the development, execution, and monitoring of strategies and measures to enhance national and sectoral cybersecurity preparedness, risk management, coordinated vulnerability disclosure policies, incident response capabilities and more. National implementation is the structured execution of a Member State’s cybersecurity strategy through defined policies, responsible institutions, and actionable plans, aimed at achieving a high common level of cybersecurity across sectors and in coordination with the EU cybersecurity framework.
Country action plans
Action plans are detailed, national-level documents outlining how individual member states will implement the objectives and requirements set forth by the EU’s Cybersecurity Strategy and related directives. They translate broad EU goals into concrete actions with specific timelines, responsible parties, and measurable indicators.
Areas of implementation
Areas of Implementation refer to the specific sectors, activities, and initiatives that countries undertake to achieve cybersecurity objectives. Here you can find the list of implementation areas grouped by the objective they’re meant to address.
