Seconded National Experts (SNEs) - Operational Cooperation

With this call, ENISA seeks to recruit 3 seconded national experts (SNEs) who could support the Agency’s activities in the area of operational cooperation in view of the tasks outlined in Article 7 of the Cybersecurity Act.  This entails cyber crisis management, common situational awareness and incident response during or after massive incidents. ENISA will fulfil some of these tasks through structured cooperation with CERT-EU (which is being set up). Separately, it also carries out the role of the secretariat for the operational platforms, such as for the CSIRT Network or CyCLONe Group within the Blueprint framework. The recruited SNEs would be actively involved in the implementation of these tasks.

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SECONDED NATIONAL EXPERTS (SNES)

With this call, ENISA seeks to fill 5 SNEs posts to take up duties in 2020.

Seconded National Experts should support the Agency’s activities in one or more of the following areas, pursuant to Chapter II of Regulation (EU) 2019/881 - Cybersecurity Act (CSA):

•Article 5: Development and implementation of Union policy and law

•Article 6: Capacity-building

•Article 7: Operational cooperation at Union level

•Article 8: Market, cybersecurity certification and standardisation

•Article 9: Knowledge and information

•Article 10: Awareness-raising and education

•Article 11: Research and innovation

•Article 12: International cooperation

ENISA accepts applications for this call on a rolling basis, under these terms which are valid until 30 April 2022 at 22:00 CET (included).

The place of employment for this vacancy is Athens, Greece.

 The Jobholder is expected to perform the following activities:

  • Manage computer systems and platforms (Operating Systems, Virtualisation, Physical servers).
  • Manage networks and security services technologies.
  • Assist the installation, configuration, test, and deployment of network switches and firewalls.
  • Manage Application/Middleware Infrastructure (Database, Content Management Systems, Application Server).
  • Integrate new components and functionality into existing systems.
  • Execute planned tasks for the development, deployment, configuration, testing, operations and maintenance of production and preproduction systems (networking and security services).
  • Carry out tasks related to system's versioning and change management procedures.
  • Monitoring and logging systems’ and platforms' operations.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and respond to systems’ and platforms’ issues.
  • Perform, configure and verify backups of IT systems.
  • Perform disaster and business recovery plans and drills.
  • Assist the development of scripts for automation of build-out and configuration of virtualised systems.
  • Carry out planned Vulnerability Management activities for various systems and platforms.
  • Ensure continuous development and improvement of the systems and platforms.
  • Performing other duties as instructed by the management, according to the needs and priorities of ENISA.
