On the 24th September, ENISA organised the 11th Trust Services and eID Forum. On the 25th September, D-TRUST in cooperation with TÜV Nord Cert held the 17th CA-Day.
For whom?
The Forum, organised in collaboration with the European Commission since 2015, has become "the place to be" for stakeholders of the broad area of the eIDAS Regulation. It gathers policy makers, trust services providers, conformity assessment bodies, supervisors, European and Member States institutions and interested end users, offering a unique place for discussions related to digital identities in Europe. This year the event has moved to Split, Croatia, assuring also the online broadcast of the event for virtual participation.
Content
Among the topics discussed this year, we approached the following:
Standardisation and certification of the European Digital Identity Wallet
Interaction of eIDASv2 with other legislation (CRA, EU Chips Act, NISD2), including aspects related to privacy
Implementation of the new and the previously defined Trust Services, from the technical and organisational point of view
New needs for the collaboration of all Trust Services and eID stakeholders
Strategies for promoting the digital identity market
As in previous years (since 2018), the Trust Services and eID Forum was followed by the CA-Day, organized by D-Trust and TÜV Nord Cert, taking place on the 25th September at the same venue.
