On 7 October 2022 ENISA organized a workshop on Personal Data Sharing - Emerging Technologies as a physical event.
Data are at the very heart of our daily lives and of our economies. If we look at volumes, data today are globally generated and exchanged by an astonishing number of devices. The fact that all the technological driving forces facilitate data sharing doesn’t necessarily mean that the sharing will take place while respecting data protection principles and data subject rights.
This workshop was organized as part of ENISA work in the area of Data Protection Engineering with the support of the relevant Ad Hoc Working Group. The workshop aimed to discuss how data protection engineering can support personal data sharing in addition to the data sharing initiatives that are being brought forward by legal instruments.
