Holding together in a changing world: Grid Cyber Resilience and Preparedness
The 9th edition of the Cybersecurity Forum will be jointly organised in Brussels on 8 October 2026 by the Association of European Distribution System Operators (E.DSO), the European Energy - Information Sharing & Analysis Centre (EE-ISAC), the European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS) and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA).
The grid model, and the regulation accordingly, is rapidly changing from centralised into distributed, with demand response and flexibility as key drivers. The cybersecurity of the European energy system can no longer be managed by utilities acting alone. The ongoing geopolitical tensions, the expansion of cyber threats through smart technologies, and the increasing dependencies on global supply chains are converting the challenge of critical energy infrastructure resilience from preparing for attacks to dealing with attacks.
Building on previous editions, focusing on practical solutions and anticipating future trends, the 2026 Cybersecurity Forum will focus on bridging the gap between regulation and innovation. The event aims at ensuring that stakeholders across the European energy ecosystem stay focused on fixing unresolved security issues and turning regulations into effective means to resolving upcoming challenges.
