Goal and purpose

1

The first step when setting up an ISAC is the process of determining the actual goal and purpose of the ISAC. Relevant questions to ask is what information is meaningful to exchange with others, how information exchange can meet business needs and what added value the exchanged information will bring. Other structural aspects to consider are the proceedings, patterns and mechanisms for information exchange as well as the people and organisations to be involved.

The drafted goal and purpose should be described in the Terms of Reference (ToR) and be discussed, developed and agreed upon by the coming members of the ISAC.
