Physical meetings

1

The starting point for information sharing is the physical meetings. In the beginning, the meetings could be hosted by the Chairperson or the Secretariat. As the ISAC matures, it is recommended to alter the meeting locations between the participating members. This will contribute to member commitments and to the building of trust. Information exchange at meetings could be done through pre-announced presentations and through round table discussions and breakout groups. A good method is to follow a simple structure, for instance covering administrative, operational and strategic matters, to contain the scope of the discussions. However, this should be balanced with letting the discussions be free-flowing and open, in order not to restrict them with too much formality.

Outcome:

  • Activity – Meeting, meeting minutes
  • Document – Agenda
  • Tools – Email (pre-announced presentations)
