The European Cyber Security Challenge aims to place cyber-security at the service of humankind. The ECSC is promoted by the European Commission and in a broader sense fails within the overall context of the EU's Cyber Security Strategy and the NIS Directive.
ECSC promotes friendly relations between attending countries and it adds a pan-European layer, as top cyber talents from each Member State collaborate and compete against each to win the ECSC prize. Contestants solve security related challenges from domains such as:
- Web and Network security
- Mobile security
- Crypto puzzles
- Reverse Engineering and
- Digital Forensics
