Many SMEs moved from engaging directly with their customers in face to face to dealing with them via online. SME’s rushed to set up new websites so they could sell to their customers online.

Any personal data or financial details, such as credit card data, must be appropriately protected.  This will entail running regular security tests against the websites to identify any potential security weaknesses and conducting regular reviews to ensure the site is maintained and updated properly.
