ENISA is currently performing a study on Good practices for IoT Security. A particular focus is given on the secure Software Development Lifecycle for IoT.

This study builds on the previous work by ENISA the Baseline IoT Security and identifies effective and proactive means to avoid vulnerabilities in IoT and develop applications in a secure manner, making use of secure Software Development Life Cycle (sSDLC) principles.

To conduct this study ENISA receives input and feedback from subject matter experts of the IoT security field and the two pertinent Expert Groups.

ENISA EICS group is an information exchange platform that brings together experts to ensure security and resilience of the entire Industrial Internet of Things ecosystem.

ENISA IoTSEC group is an information exchange platform that brings together experts to ensure security and resilience of the entire Internet of Things ecosystem.

The objective of this workshop is to validate the findings on good practices to secure IoT focusing on secure software development lifecycle. Stakeholders from the sector (IoT vendors, IoT developers, cyber security experts, etc.) and member of ENISA IOTSec and EICS expert groups will gather to this workshop in order to discuss the validation of the study “Good practices for Security of IoT” and to provide feedback on relevant recommendations.

This workshop is limited to the contributors of this study and will take place in Brussels, BE.
