Policies and Strategy
In the Policies and Strategy area ENISA:
- took stock of 25 national policy and regulatory environments. The stock taking aimed at identifying all relevant authorities. It focused on their tasks, existing policy initiatives and regulatory provisions. It also addressed exchange of information between authorities and providers, national risk management processes, and preparedness and recovery measures. The result is 25 national reports covering national policy and strategic activities of each Member State
- analysed Member States’ (MS) policy and regulatory environments. The analysis covers rules, policies and practices EU Member States and EFTA countries develop and deploy with the aim to enhance resilience of their public e-Communication networks. It provides high level and context specific recommendations to policy and decision makers on how Member States could improve their policies and act ivities. It also
identifies good practices that might serve as “inspiring cases” to countries wishing to improve their policies and activities in certain areas.
- develops a number of good practice guides on several important areas. Building on the needs of the Member States for more guidance on emerging strategic and policy issues, ENISA currently works on the development of good practice guides on information sharing, incident reporting, exercises. These topics have been identified as important during the analysis part and were selected by stakeholders.
More details about these topics can be found in the different sections of this area.
